The Kings University Eagles' Gaddiel Kamuanya Tshiunza dominated the boards in the opening half against the host Keyano Huskies as the visitors went into the locker room at halftime up 29-26.

Tshiunza, a second-year 5-foot-10 forward from Fort Saskatchewan had an impressive 12 rebounds in the opening 20 minutes.

Eagles' defense held the Huskies in-check until a three-pointer by Tyshaine Page tied the game 50-50 with 2:05 remaining in regulation.

Eagles tied the game 52-52 with Brittany Veldman scoring with 45 seconds on the clock.

Page sealed the victory with a three-pointer 17 seconds later for a 56-52 final.

Page, a fourth-year shooting guard from Kitchener, Ontario,  was Huskies Player of the Game. Teammate Augusta Kievisaite had 20 points and 13 rebounds while Moiyan Toure added 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Eagles Player of the Game was Tshiunza with 17 boards and eight points. Rosemaine James added 13 points.
