Rattlers Take Second Straight.

The Old's Bronco's Headed south to Medicine Hat to face off against the Rattlers. Fresh off a win the night before, Medicine Hat hoped to build on their momentum. A strong Old's team entered the Snake Pit hoping to use their size to beat a much smaller Rattlers squad. Scoring the First two baskets, the Broncos jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Medicine Hat answered with a barrage scoring 10 straight points to take over the lead. Medicine Hat applied pressure to the broncos deep in their own court. This pressure continued throughout the quarter and allowed the Rattler to jump out to a 26-16 lead at the break.

The second quarter started like the first, the Broncos started fast again scoring the first 3 baskets of the frame this cut the lead and forced Medicine Hat to burn a timeout. This timeout was wisely played as the Rattlers we able to continue to play with their lead, Not growing or losing ground. This tight battle continued as both teams were playing tight defense and gaining turnovers from steals. Tight defensive rebounding from both sides saw very little chances for second chance points. As the half came to a close, the Rattlers found their 10-point lead restored 40-30.

The third quarter opened with some frantic play from both sides. Both teams ran the ball and pushed down the court. The pace quickened, and Medicine Hat's legs seemed to last better than Old's. With the faster pace the Rattlers were able to control the ball more and started to dictate the pace of the game. While still staying in the game. Old's was unable to climb back close enough to get within striking distance. At the end of the quarter Medicine Hat had extended their lead to 56-39

The fourth quarter began with very fast play and High-Pressure Defense from both teams. The Rattlers using a full court press, and the Broncos double teaming the ball wherever the Rattlers tried to attack from. This seemed to get Old's momentum back for a while. The Rattlers High Pressure full court press combined with not letting Old's get a clean outside shot up all day was too much. The Broncos could simply not keep up with the pace of the Medicine Hat game. This resulted in the Rattlers taking their second straight, 75-59.
