Lions Split Decisions vs. Broncos

In Ambrose Lions Basketball action on Saturday, January 21st, the Men won and the Women lost while playing a double header against the Olds College Broncos. The girls lost by 7 points in a close game where they had improved 3 point shooting from last weekend. The player of the game was Paige Goertzen who had 6 points and 16 huge rebounds. Her energy helped keep the lions within striking distance the whole time, but they were unable to pull out the win.

The men's game was also a hard fought affair with the Lions playing stellar basketball in the last few minutes. Player of the game Marcus Harris shot 11-15 going for 25 points. It looks like the men's team has found their swagger in the last 2 games, picking up 2 wins. Both teams will look to pick up wins next Friday in the Lions Den against Briercrest.
