2025 ACAC Indoor Track Championships Recap

Edmonton, AB (March 15-16, 2025) - This past weekend, the 2025 ACAC Indoor Track Championships brought fierce competition and record-breaking performances to the Universiade Pavilion in Edmonton. The event, hosted through a collaborative effort from the competing schools, showcased some of the best collegiate talent in Alberta. Athletes from across the ACAC battled for top honours, personal bests, and ACAC records, with several standout performances stealing the show. 

Top Awards

Female Athlete & Rookie of the Year: Ashlee Walker (Concordia University Edmonton - CUE)

Walker dominated the distance events, securing key wins and contributing to Concordia's strong relay performances.

Male Athlete of the Year: Owen Stewart (Lethbridge Kodiaks)

Stewart showcased his middle-distance dominance, medaling in multiple events and reinforcing his status as the best male athlete in the ACAC.

Male Rookie of the Year: Tyler Wiebe (Lethbridge Kodiaks)

Wiebe made an immediate impact, proving himself as a top sprinter with a gold medal in the 300m and a strong 60m performance.

Coach of the Year: Michael Schnaire (Red Deer Polytechnic - RDP)

Schnaire led Red Deer Polytechnic's team to an impressive showing, particularly in the women's division, where they claimed the overall team title.
