Ooks "Kill" Trojans

The NAIT Ooks took on the SAIT Trojans at the NAIT gymnasium on Friday night. The Ooks won the game 3-0 over the Trojans.

In the first set, Ooks took the lead early with some great hits from number fifteen, Shae McIntyre and number five, Carter Hills. The Ooks kept the Trojans at bay, the Ooks leading by five points, and the Trojans called a time-out to regroup. The Trojans' time-out worked as they closed the point gap, but the Ooks kept going with great offensive plays from number five, Carter Hills and eleven, Felix Dufour. The Ooks effectively shut down the Trojans with a massive block by numbers nine, Ross Bishop and five, Carter Hills. Ooks took the set 25-14.

After the first set, the Ooks lead the match 1-0.

In the second set, the Trojans started strong gaining the lead; however, it wasn't long before the Ooks took it with an impressive hit from number nine, Ross Bishop. Trojans began to close the gap with great kills, and the Ooks called their first time out. The Trojans tied it up. However, a massive kill from Ooks number fifteen, Shae McIntyre, kept the Ooks ahead; however, the Trojans weren't giving up. Ooks refused to let up on their lead and kept the Trojans at bay. Ooks took the set 25-22

After the second set, the Ooks extend their lead to 2-0.

Ooks took the lead early in the third set, but the Trojans weren't done. The Ooks were still in their lead with great hits from number five, Carter Hills and eight, Jarod Robert. The Ooks ahead by five points, and their lead continued to grow. The Trojans found themselves needing to catch up quickly. The Ooks outside blocks shutting down the Trojans' offence effectively the Ooks continued to pull ahead. The Ooks led by 13, resulting in the Trojans taking a time-out. Ooks won the set 25-12.

The NAIT Ooks won the match 3-0 over the SAIT Trojans.

The players of the game were number five, Carter Hills, from the NAIT Ooks and number nine, Pearce Toal, from the SAIT Trojans.
