It was another slow start that the Rustlers couldn't overcome on Friday, against a team determined to bounce back from a loss.

Lakeland was coming off of two straight losses to NAIT, while the Keyano Huskies recently blew a two-set lead against NWP. In the first, the visitors quickly gained control, resulting in a 25-19 win. The Rustlers returned the favour in the 2nd by the same score, but the Huskies bounced back to win 25-18 in the 3rd. The 4th was the tightest set of the night, but late in the match, erros compounded for the Rustlers, as Keyano won 25-22.

Joao Cunha lead all scorers with 21 kills and was Player of the Game for the visitors, while the home pick was Tylie Montgrand, who had 10 kills.

The rematch is scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday.
