CALGARY, ALTA., (Feb. 3, 2022) - The SAIT Trojans men's volleyball team picked up a big win Thursday night.

Playing against the first place Red Deer Polytechnic Kings, the Trojans beat their guests 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-20) in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) play.

SAIT improves to 7-4, while the Kings fall to 10-3.

The Trojans relied on the heavy hitting of Mitch Newman and Ryan Zachary to score points, while Filip Florek, Nic Berscht and Jeffrey Carreos played tremendous defense.

The Players of the Game were Brett Lower for Red Deer and Carreos for SAIT.

The Trojans will have Friday off before playing Lethbridge College Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
