Ooks Win Three at Home

The NAIT Ooks took on the Keyano Huskies Sunday afternoon in the last game of a three-game homestand. The Ooks won the first two games, and they wanted to keep the trend going. NAIT won the game 3-0.

The NAIT Ooks came out strong in the first set. The two teams went to five sets on Saturday night, but neither team looked fatigued to start the day. The Ooks got an early lead on the Huskies, and the momentum helped them steal the first set. After a close game last night, this set felt like a landslide, with the Ooks winning 25-13.

The Huskies got themselves on the board to start the second set, but the Ooks were close behind to close the gap. Felix DuFour had a sneaky tip over the net to put the Ooks ahead. The Huskies put on the jets and tried to catch up, but a couple of service errors on their behalf widened the Ooks lead. The Ooks win the second set thanks to a service ace from Carter Hills. The score was 25-15.

The third set started strong. It was do or die for the Huskies, and they were not ready to go home yet. Both teams were within a point for a good portion of the set. The Ooks pulled ahead, but NAIT's service error helped the Huskies regain their momentum. The Huskies were on a roll until Carter Hills hit it home a couple of times, widening the Ooks lead. The Huskies tried to come back, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough. The Ooks won the third set 25-15.

NAIT takes home three wins on three games this weekend.
