Friday November 8, 2019

Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre

Canadian Natural Gymnasium

Keyano 3 Lakeland 1 25-20, 18-25, 25-23, 25-21

Set 1

Keyano Huskies 25 Lakeland College Rustlers 20

Keyano Huskies ranked No. 5 in recent Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association polls look a bit sluggish in the opening set as they win 25-20.

Huskies' Don Campbell (3rd year, Open Studies, Beauval, Saskatchewan) makes usage of all 6-foot-7 in height as he has a few full extension tips for points along with a BANGO at 9-7.

Set 2

Keyano Huskies 18 Lakeland College Rustlers 25

A fair amount, more than usual, one-on-one confrontations at the net.

Matt Peck playing steady for the Rustlers.

Huskies No.  13 Jaro Cunha a 6'8" left side has massive BANGO with Huskies down 15-20.

Huskies struggling at the service line. Only third set lost so far into the regular season.

Set 3

Keyano 25   Lakeland 23

Huskies' Athus Silva (6'6 , Middle,  1st, College Prep, Compis, Sao Paulo) has the play of the night, showing that he has obvious soccer skills as he bumps the ball off of the top of his head to keep it alive and in play.

A very long third set...one of the longest in recent history on home court.

Set 4

Keyano 25 Lakeland 21

Alex Andryszewski (6'3, Left Side, 5th, Business, Jarocin, Poland) playing steady for Huskies as Rustlers take timeout down 15-11.

Huskies' Home Hardware/Boston Pizza Player of the Game is Andryszewski and for the Rustlers Peck.
