Huskies Takedown Kodiaks, Claim ACAC Gold

EDMONTON, ALTA. - The Keyano Huskies became the 2019 ACAC men's volleyball Champions as they defeated the Lethbridge College Kodiaks 3-0 in the 2019 Sutton Place Hotel ACAC Men's Volleyball Championship final.

Both teams started the match strong, going back and forth throughout the first set. Keyano would eventually take a 1-0 lead with a 25-23 victory. The second set would be very similar to the first. Both teams didn't want to give an inch as they pushed the set to extra points only to end on services. A service error by Kodiaks' Dax Whitehead, followed by a service ace by Huskies' Radoslow Brzozowski would hand the Huskies a 26-24 win giving them a 2-0 lead. From there the Huskies took the momentum and ran with it. Keyano would win the third set 25-18, crowning them the 2019 ACAC men's volleyball Champions!

"I told them this was our moment, right from this morning we knew it was our moment. We knew after last years result we knew left a lot out there. We came in and got the job done," said Huskies head coach, Keegan Kuhr following the win.
