Eagles takes big match over the GPRC Wolves

The last weekend of the regular season had provincial berth implications for the TKU Eagles, as they took on the GPRC Wolves at home. The Eagles needed a win to stay in the hunt for provincials, while the Wolves came into tonight's match trying to spoil the Eagles dreams.

In the first set, the determination of the Eagles was evident, as they came out flying. Each attack the Wolves had, the Eagles pushed through with their own. The Eagles solid play was enough to win them the set, as they took it 25-13.

In the second set, the momentum for Eagles kept on rolling, as they continued their strong gameplay. The Wolves were not able to match the Eagles as TKU took the second set, 25-13.

In the third set, something clicked for the Wolves as they matched everything the Eagles gave them, as the set went back and forth. The Wolves pushed passed the Eagles and took the set 25-20.

In the fourth set, the Wolves used their new found momentum as they took an early lead on the Eagles. But battled back, as they knew what was on the line for them. The Eagles were able tie the set up late, and eventually took the set and the match 27-25.

With the win, the Eagles are now one step closer to reach the provincial tournament. TKU will play the game tomorrow against GPRC at 3pm, at King's.
