The Clippers swept by the Kodiaks

CARONPORT, SK- The Clippers and the Kodiaks played in a three-set match on Saturday afternoon with the Kodiaks sweeping the Clippers in the weekend.

Off the start of the match was an exciting, tight match to watch, but the Kodiaks pulled ahead near the end of the set and went on a 9-2 run finishing it 15-25.

The start of the second set was back and forth and continued throughout the set, going down to the end where Lethbridge pulled ahead and finished the set 20-25 in a huge team contribution.

In the third set the Clippers picked up their space and took a lead on the Kodiaks early on. Fortunately for the Kodiaks they cut this lead and pulled ahead 11-14 and held this lead for the rest of the set finishing 19-25. The final scores of the match were 15-25 / 20-25 and 19-25

Also, in the third set of the game, #12 Dax Whitehead achieved a huge accomplishment by breaking the ACAC all time kills record with 1108 kills in his career so far.

Player of the game for the Clippers was #15 Brighton Codd with 18 kills, 6 digs, a block and an ace in a spectacular match. And for the Kodiaks, player of the game was #12 Dax Whitehead with a record-breaking match with 11 kills and 6 digs.
