Vikings take win over Rustlers in four sets

Camrose, AB - The Augustana Vikings took on the Lakeland Rustlers in their first game back from semester break. The VIkings ended up with the win in 4 sets with scores of 25-20, 25-14, 23-25, and 25-19 respectively.

A semi-close first set saw the Vikings come out on top with a score of 25-20. Keeping their momentum going the Vikings dominated the young Rustler team to a 25-14 win in the second set. Thing turned around for the Rustlers in the third and they maintained a slight lead all the way through to the end to pull of a 25-23 third set win. In the fourth set the Vikings maintained a steady lead and ended up winning the game with a fourth set score of 25-19.

From the Lakeland Rustlers, third year middle, Tyler Williamson was awarded Player of the Game with 9 kills, 5 blocks and a service ace. On the Vikings side the Player of the Game Award went to Owen Murray, second year business student who had 12 kills, 7 digs and a service ace.
