OLDS, Alta. - The SAIT Trojans came out strong, then withstood rallies from the Olds College Broncos to complete a straight-sets victory at the Ralph Klein Centre on Friday.

Jarrett Noel did the majority of the damage for the Trojans (9-4), finishing with a game-high 14 kills to go with four digs and two solo blocks. Nicholas Berscht turned in a solid performance with six kills and eight digs, while Mark Anderson added five kills and 11 digs.

Thundersky Walkingbear led the charge for the Broncos (0-13) as he finished with 10 kills, while Jesse Stoddart also had a strong game with eight kills and eight digs.

SAIT stormed out of the gate in the first set, jumping out to a 5-0 lead and never looking back en route to a convincing 25-11 win in the opener.

The second set was significantly tighter, though the Trojans were able to hold the Broncos at bay as a 25-19 victory put them up two sets to none.

The Broncos gained momentum in the third set, pushing back against the Trojans and forcing extra points, though SAIT eventually wrapped it up with a 26-24 victory.

Ayden Rust (four kills, two digs) was the player of the game for SAIT, while Braden Bates (five kills, two digs, one solo block) was Olds College's recipient.

SAIT and Olds College will complete the 2018 portion of the regular season on Saturday at 8 p.m. in Calgary.
