Big wint at home for the Rattlers

The First Set of the Men's Rattler Volleyball and the Red Deer College Kings was a tightly contested match. Both teams had their offence ready as the attacks were fierce and frequent. Big hits over and through blocks were the common theme in the first set. Not until the end of the set did either team grab control. The Rattlers Vitor Pereira came up with a Huge kill followed by 3 service aces to end the First Set 25-18

The second set looked much like the first with teams trading serves and side outs. The Medicine Hat crowd was getting involved getting Loud and throwing off some Kings serves. Some confusion between the Referee and the Kings about some rotation issues brought the game to a halt for 5 minutes. This seemed to hurt the RDC team as the Rattlers opened up a 4 point lead. The Red Deer Coach was getting visibly frustrated from some of the calls his team was receiving. The Rattlers lead was extended as they closed out the second set with the same score of 25-18.

The start of the third set saw the Rattlers jump out to an early 7-3 only to have RDC call a timeout to try and stop the bleeding. This did not help as Medicine Hat followed the timeout with 2 service aces. This Lead did not evaporate as the Rattlers traded service with the Kings. Avery Triggs was setting very well getting his hitters open lanes for kills. Brodie Dolter and Vitor Perira were putting balls on the floor with frequency. Zach Frank added to the onslaught with 2 big kills mid set. The Rattler attack seemed to come from all angles with Alfred Dalevik getting in on the attack as well. Solid defense saw the Rattler Lead increase to 10, 19-9. A Big save by Griffin Moline converted to a kill had the crowd erupting from a Rattler 3 set win 25-14. And 3-0
