Oct 21, 2017 – After defeating the Lions 3-1 in Calgary on Friday night, the Kodiaks looked to sweep the home-and-home and climb back to .500 in the ACAC south division standings.

Lethbridge came out looking confident on their home floor, making successful adjustments in securing a huge straight sets 3-0 victory.

The Kodiaks and Lions traded long rallies throughout the first set until the Kodiaks broke through with an extended run to grab a 25-14 win. Matthew Primrose defended the court with five digs to help set the Kodiaks apart. Kodiaks dominated the set 25-14.

Coming off the excitement from the first set, the Kodiaks upped the intensity in set two. Dax Whitehead was a powerhouse at the net for the Kodiaks with six kills in the set, accompanied by Carter Hansen with three of his own as the Kodiaks prevailed 25-21.

The Lions came out with a stronger performance in set three but the Kodiaks were too much to handle on this night. Ambrose's Jacob Reid powered down four kills while the Kodiaks Marcus Biesheuvel and Matthew Primrose each put up three digs in the set, helping the Kodiaks secure the match with a 25-20 victory.

The Kodiaks record improves to 2-2 with the home-and-home sweep, while the Lions record falls to 0-2.
