Wolves defeat Rustlers in 3 sets

The Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves defeated the Lakeland Rustlers in 3 sets (25-19, 27-25, 25-17) Friday night in the first of two matchups between the teams this weekend.  In the first set, the Rustlers got out to an early 9-5 lead, before the Wolves came back to tie the score at 12.  The Wolves continued their strong play, taking a 14-12 lead and continued to build their lead, winning the set 25-19.  The two teams traded points for much of the second set.  The Rustlers took a 21-18 lead, but the Wolves would come back and lead 22-21.  The teams continued to trade points before the Wolves won 27-25.  The two teams traded points once again for much of the third set.  The Wolves built an 18-13 lead, which they used to propel them to a 25-17 win.  Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #6 Tyler Williamson.  Player of the Game for the Wolves was #10 Carter Nadkrynechny.
