The SAIT Trojans and Keyano Huskies Men's Futsal team played to a 4-4 draw Friday at the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray, Alta. to open play for both sides at the 2023 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Futsal Championship. 

Nicholas Gonzalez scored twice for the Trojans, depositing goals in each of the game's halfs. Senay Haile scored in the first half to give the Trojans their 2-0 advantage and a Soliman Aria goal in the second half helped with the draw. 

On the Huskies side of the action, they recovered well from getting shutout in the first half of play to score four for the tie with ACAC Men's Soccer North Division Rookie of the Year James Bartha notching a hat trick and Dino Hronopoulos scoring once for the Huskies, labelled as the visiting team on the scoresheet for the purpose of the match. 

Earning Player of the Game honours for each side were Gonzalez of the Trojans and Hafid Arellano of the Huskies.
