The Lakeland Rustlers scored early and often to open their tournament at the 2023 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Futsal Championship, winning a 7-2 decision against the Olds College Broncos at the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray, Alta.

Jumping out to a 4-2 lead in the first half, the Rustlers received goals from Samuel Dosumu, Nathan Tran, Hani Tekheste, and Ali Estrada. Nahshon Ranger-Reece and Aminja Abbe replied for the Broncos, keeping them within a pair of goals entering the second half. 

In the second half, Giordano Ciccacci scored twice and Eric Janzen Roth found the back of the net as the Rustlers expanded their lead to five. 

Earning Player of the Game honours for their respective sides were Zayne Boughazale of the Broncos and Tran of the Rustlers.
