The Vikings Win Their Last Regular Season Game

Camrose, AB - The Augustana Men's Vikings hosted the SAIT Trojans for their last home game of the regular season. The Vikings take the win in double overtime.

To start the game the Vikings got first goal, scored by number 10, Carter Danczak and Assisted by 4, Joseph Tambasco and 20, Matthew Martin. A short handed play was later made by the Trojans. Overall, the first period was well played, each team not backing down, finishing with a score of 2-2. In the second period, both teams brought on the heat with shots on goal being well in the 20's. The second ended with a score of 5-3 for the Trojans. The Vikings accepted the challenge, tying the game by scoring 2 goals in the first 10 minutes of the third period. In the last 10 minutes of play both teams managed to score again, making the score 6-6, taking the game to overtime. No goals were score in the first overtime period. As for the second overtime, it was played 3 on 3 and the Vikings took the game, finishing it with score of   7-6.

From the SAIT Trojans, the Player of the Game was number 8, Joren Patenaude. From the Augustana Vikings, the Player of the Game was number 91, Cody Young.
