Edmonton, AB - In a back-and-forth game, the RDC Kings and Concordia Thunder drew even after 60 minutes and double overtime couldn't solve a winner. The Kings and Thunder tied 3 - 3. With three out of four points in the weekend series, the Kings (5 - 0 - 1) captured sole possession of first place in the standings with 11 points. 

The Red Deer College Kings hit the scoresheet first. On the man advantage, Dylan Thudium beat Sam-Jaxon Visscher to give the Kings a 1 - 0 edge at 8:34. Chase Thudium and Tanner Butler set up the power play marker. Over four minutes later, Adam Moghrabi evened the contest but Tyrell Mappin put the Kings back on top 2 - 1 with 2:11 remaining in the first period. Austin Hunter and Jacob Wozney recorded the assists. 

At 12:52 of the middle frame, Kyle Salaway and Tyler Podgorenko set up Dylan Baer for the Kings' third goal. Just over a minute later, the Thunder reduced the gap by a goal. Ian Mclellan beat Kings' starting netminder Arik Weersink at 14:02. 

Concordia's Chaseton Braid scored the equalizer (3 - 3) at 8:37 of the third period. After two overtime periods, the contest remained deadlocked 3 - 3 with each team earning 1 point in the standings. 

The Kings outshot the Thunder 45 - 42 and Weersink made some key saves in the Kings' net (0.929).

Next weekend, the RDC Kings (5 - 0 - 1) will face-off against the defending champions, the MacEwan University Griffins (4 - 1 - 1), in a pair of games. On Friday, October 26, the Griffins will host the Kings at 7:00 p.m. Then on Saturday, the two teams will tangle at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre at 7:00 p.m.
