RDC Kings Come Out On-Top Versus the Vikings

Camrose AB -  Many fans braved the ice and the snow to watch the ACAC hockey game between the Augustana Vikings and the RDC Kings. The game came to a start with both teams playing strong. As the first period continued Red Deer College was first to put a score up on the score clock 6 minutes into the period. Red Deer used the momentum of the first goal and scored shortly after obtaining their second goal against the Vikings. Tambasco lead the Vikings in getting the first goal of the game 13 minutes into the first, assisted by McTaggart and Warmington. RDC finished the period strong by scoring the last goal of the period.

The second period started off slow, with both working to put more goals on the board. Thudium of the RDC Kings was to score a goal in the second period assisted by Pastachak and Thudiam. Augustana was able to try and close the growing score gap by getting their second goal with five minutes left scored by Mayan which was assisted by McMullin and Ozczeuski. RDC was quick to recover from the Augustana goal and scored the last goal of the second period making the score 5-2.

RDC carried the momentum from the second period into the third, scoring against Augustana only three minutes into the period. The Vikings were unable to close the gap between the score, but did achieve the last goal of the game with just one minute left in the game, scored by Lousin assisted by Gunville and Young. The game ended with a brawl on the ice with Warmington getting a Game Misconduct for a hit to the head. RDC won the game with a final score of 6-3, with Thudim from the being awarded with the Player of the Game Award, while Mayan was given the Player of the Game Award for the Augustana Vikings.
