Clippers lose second straight game against Griffins

Although Briercrest opened the scoring in game 2 against MacEwan in the first period, they ultimately fell 11-1 to the Griffins. Clipper's #17 Joe Roach got the lone goal of the night for the team; just over 10 minutes into the game. Birercrest didn't keep the lead for long though, Griffins' #14 Brett Smythe responded with a quick goal minutes later to tie the game 1-1. Griffins slowly pulled away to finish the first period 4-1. Heading into the second period, the Griffins kept their intensity heading and continued to increase their lead over the Clippers. Briercrest was able to hold the Griffins to 6-1 going into the third period. In the final period, the Griffins scored 5 goals to finish the game.
