For the second night in a row the Thunder were able to be an offensive threat when they hosted the Selkirk College Saints in a pre-season friendly. According to head coach Dan Glegloff the Thunder "looked like a regular season team playing a pre-season game".

Shots and scoring chances were even during the 1st period  however the Thunder prevailed offensively with goals coming from five different skaters included two goals each from #37 Phil Dillon and #18 Chance Thomas.

Between the pipes for the Thunder, rookie #1 Garrett Storms saw his first pre-season action allowing only 1 goal on 14 shots. 2nd year goalie #35 Tanner McCorriston would finish the 2nd half of the game allowing only 1 goal on 13 shots.
