Wolves Defeat Eagles in their Home Opener 88-80

Home opener for the NWP Wolves vs. Kings Eagles. Kings take a quick lead 7-4. NWP's #20 Manny Iloka blocks the play from the Eagles at the net. NWP's coach Evan Lloyd calls a time out half way through the first quarter. Score is 11-4 for Kings. Foul on Kings and NWP's #9 Aaron Ungprasert makes one basket in the free throw. NWP's #20 Manny Iloka sneaks through to make it to the net. Wolves trail Eagles, 15-7. Wolves #11 Terrance Lennox comes into the game and grabs a basket. First quarter ends with foul shots for King. Kinds remains in the  lead 17-11.

Second quarter action continues to see the Wolves slightly trailing the Eagles. NWP's #8 Christian Liwanag get a nice basket. NWP's #3 Tony Kibonge narrows the scoring gap. Wolves trail by 3 half way though the quarter. Score is 25-22 for Kings. Offensive foul called on #08 Josh Fraser, and the Wolves creep up the Eagles. The crowd goes wild with a dunk from NWP's #20 Manny Illoka. Time out called by the Wolves at 1:30 score is tied up 31-31. NWP's # 11 Terrance Lennox get a basket and the Wolves take the lead for the first time in this game. Terrance shows up again with a 3 pointer just before the buzzer. Score is 36-33 for NWP.

NWP get the first 2 points in the start of the third quarter. NWP's #3 Toni Kibonge with 3 pointer and the Wolves are ahead by 47-38. Eagles call a time out. Wolves stay ahead with back to back points for # 20 Manny Iloka. Game is 56-42 at 4:15 in the quarter. Kings put a three pointer away. The Wolves call a timeout. A steal by Kings #2 after the time out leads to two points. Kings #9 Jonathan Barwegen with a nice break away and get 2 points for the Eagles. After an exciting quarter score is 64-55 for NWP

Fourth quarter action continues with this heated game. NWP's #20 Manny Iloka with a break away and the crowd eats it up. NWP maintain a 10 point lead at 7:25 into the quarter. Score is 67-57. Kings battle back but are blocked at the net by NWP. NWP calls a time out at 4:39. Score is 72-66 for the Wolves. Kings get a free throw and #13 Cornelius Mingo Jr. gets the 2 points. Score is 76-70 for NWP. Kings #06 Josh Povhe with a 3 pointer. Eagles call a time out at 1:46 minutes. Score is 80-74 for NWP. Kings battle back score is 84-77 at 1 minute left. NWP take their home opener 88-80
