The Lightning started off the game looking for win and the guarantee to the playoff bracket. The Ooks and Lightning both came out hard exchanging bucket for bucket, looking to extend each their teams lead. The Lightning finished the quarter out on top 21-19 against the NAIT Ooks. Lightning #10 Johnpaul Okodua led his team with 13 points in the second quarter, while the Ooks #4 Benjamin Kamba led his team with 7 points. The Lightning and Ooks fought hard but it was the Lightning who came out on top ending the half up by 7 points. The Lightning weren't backing down to start the third and the Ooks were just as hungry for the win fighting every shot and play. The Lightning managed to win the quarter 19 to 17 and remained in the lead to start the 4th. The fourth quarter came down to the wire with the Ooks hitting a huge 3 to take the lead by the one. The Lighting had 5.5 secs to get a shot up for the win but missed and the game ended with the Lightning losing by 1.
