Broncos Fall to the Strike of the Lightning's Starting Five

Lightning and Broncos both came out firing exchanging shot for shot in a close first quarter score which left the Lightning leading by 5 to end the quarter. Both teams continued the urgency to stay with one another and keep the score close in the second quarter continuing to exchange leads and baskets. The Lightning fought hard and kept the score close until the last minutes but managed to pull ahead and end the half with the lead 45 to 34. Both the Lightning and the Broncos came out firing once again and continued to exchange basket for basket. Broncos number 7 led his team in the third and fourth quarter with 26 points, while Austin Nzige-Nyambok and Artemus Rapada had 14 and 13 respectively. The Broncos were no match for the strike of the Lightning with Averie Armbrister having 18 points, Brock Dewsbery with 18 points, Caleb Jipp with 15 points and Johnpaul Okodua with 13 points. The Lightning end the game with a win at 90 to 77. Players of the game for the Broncos were #7 Gurech Gurech with 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals, while the Lightning #10 Johnpaul Okodua ends with a double double at 19 rebounds, 13 points and 6 blocks. The Lightning take on the Lethbridge Kodiaks at 8pm in Lethbridge on Friday January 20th and improve their record to 7 and 3.
