Ooks Fall Short to Huskies

The NAIT Ooks men's basketball team faced the Keyano Huskies for the second time this Saturday afternoon. After a well-played game by the Huskies and Ooks, the Huskies won the game 78-69.

The first quarter was a close one between the Ooks and the Huskies. The game was fast-paced as both teams pushed the floor. The Ooks' number fourteen, Diangelo Woodside, gets an offensive rebound that he puts into the basket.

After the first quarter, the Ooks lead 21-16.

The Ooks start the quarter on a high note with number five, Vishal Dhillon, making a three-pointer. The Huskies close the gap by putting more pressure on the Ooks offensively and defensively. The game gets tied up once again between the Ooks and Huskies. The Ooks take the lead back and extend it.

At halftime, the Ooks held onto their lead, 37-31.

After the halftime break, the Huskies came out on fire with number eight, Sean-Michael Clancy putting up __ three-pointers to take the lead. The Ooks did not back down as number seven, Griffin Lorenz, tied the game up 42-42 after draining a three-point shot. The Huskies took a couple of point lead over the Ooks. The Huskies held their lead until the end of the quarter.

After the third quarter, the Huskies lead 53-45.

In the fourth quarter, the battle continued between the Ooks and Huskies. It was an intense atmosphere as both teams worked to take home the win. The Huskies led by nine with two minutes left in the game. The Ooks worked tirelessly to tie up the game, with their offence and defence putting pressure on the Huskies. It was not enough to take the lead from the Huskies as they won the game 78-69.

The players of the game were number four, Benjamin Kamba, from the Ooks and number seven, Keenan Caribou, from the Huskies.
