Rustler win home opener against Ooks

After a disappointing result on the road, the Lakeland RUstlers bounced back strong in the first home game.

An early barrage of offence, spotted the squad a 14-6 lead in the first quarter. NAIT came roaring back to take the lead, but by the end of the first half, the Rustlers had moved back ahead. In the second, they were able to streatch the lead to nearly 20, though the Ooks managed to keep it competitive in a 86-76 loss.

Shaquai Manswell was player of the game for Lakeland, while Benjamin Kamba got the nod for the Ooks.

With the weekend split, the Rustlers are off to Fort Mac to face the Keyano Huskies.
