MBB| Kodiaks Secure Weekend Sweep Against Broncos to Start Season 2-0

The Kodiaks looked to finish the weekend strong as they battled it out against the Olds Broncos in round 2 of their opening weekend series

The Kodiaks and Broncos stayed tight throughout the 1st quarter, sticking within a few points of each other through the first 10 minutes of play. Kodiaks #11 Brady Baines took charge and lead the team with 8 points going 2 for 3 from the 3-point line and tying the game at 16 heading into the 2nd quarter.

The Broncos have a little more fight in them compared to yesterday's match being more aggressive offensively and defensively allowing them to match the Kodiaks on the scoreboard and keeping the game tight as the Broncos would get a slight edge on the Kodiaks giving them the lead heading into halftime with a score of 40-39 with Broncos #4 Lado Laku giving them that boost as he picked up 11 points in the quarter.

The Kodiaks were able to bounce back after being down headed into the 2nd half, the Kodiaks were able to clean up in some patchy areas allowing them to improve in those spots which resulted in them gaining a steady lead heading into the 4th quarter being up 71-59.

The Kodiaks made it tough for the Broncos to gain any ground on them as they kept a good lead on Olds to prevent them from getting too close for comfort. Kodiaks Paycen Blackmore picked up 6 points in the quarter giving him 10 on the night to seal the deal on the game increasing the Kodiaks record to 2-0 with a final score of 91-75.
