Lightning Win First Playoff Game vs. Ambrose Lions

The Lightning and Lions tipped off at 7pm and filled the stands for their first playoff game of the season. Both teams started quick and strong, taking shot after shot. Well into the first quarter, the Lions picked up the pace and took a solid lead, ending the quarter with 31-19. The Lightning came back stronger in the second quarter. They closed the gap but the Lions still kept their lead, ending the half 53-50. Into the third quarter, the Lightning came back with strong game play. They took their energy and stole the lead, eding the third quarter at 83-77. The Lions and Lightning battled for the win throughout the last quarter. Shot after shot, passing each other in the lead. With minutes left in the game, the Lightning took the lead, and kept it, ending the game with 112-102. The players of the game tonight were Lions #10 Isaac Gray with 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 35 points, and Lightning #13 Averie Armbrister with 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 42 points.
