Saturday midafternoon, the NAIT Ooks competed against the GPRC Wolves in the NAIT Gymnasium. Ooks lose a challenging game to the Wolves. Wolves won the close game 73-66.
The start of the game was fast-paced between the Wolves and the Ooks. Both teams had multiple defensive rebounds. The Ooks were winning 18-16 after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Ooks continued to lead the game. The game was even between the teams as the score continued between them. At the end of the first half, the teams tied on the scoreboard, 34-34.
After halftime, the Wolves and Ooks continued to stay neck-in-neck. The Wolves were able to get the lead on the scoreboard. The Wolves took fewer shots than the Ooks; however, they were able to make more of theirs compared to the Ooks. At the end of the third quarter, the Wolves led by five points, 55-50.
The fourth quarter was intense as both teams competed closely against one another. The Ooks worked towards gaining the lead back; however, they came up short. The Wolves won the exciting game 73-66.
