GPRC Wolves Hosts Augustana Vikings on Sunday Afternoon

The Wolves welcome the Camrose Augustana Vikings to their gym for a Sunday game.

GPRC Wolves won the tipoff to begin the first quarter and its #6 Bruce Beddoe for the Wolves to out up the first 2 points of the game. GPRC takes an early lead of 18-8 5 minutes into the 1^st quarter. After 7:30 seconds of exciting play, the GPRC Wolves call a timeout as they lead the game 20-15. Coming in after the break, the Vikings put in 2 3-pointers to take the lead 21-20. The 1^st quarter had the Wolves controlling the game, but the Augustana Vikings manage to pull ahead to lead GPRC 26-20.

The 2nd quarter began with Augustana possession. Drawing a foul early on, Bruce Beddoe goes 1 for 2. Augustana called a timeout 2 minutes into the 2^nd. Capitalizing on the break, the Wolves tie the game 27-27. With 2:30 left in the quarter, GPRC leads 38-33. After a very close quarter, the GPRC Wolves lead the Augustana Viking 43-42.

After 5:30 minutes of play in the 3^rd quarter the Augustana Vikings take a 4-point lead with the score 57-53. Shak Nasim goes 1 for 2 on the foul with 3 minutes left. As the Vikings continue to extend their lead, GPRC calls a timeout. After 10 minutes of play in the 3^rdquarter, the Vikings now lead the Wolves 73-59.

Coming into the final quarter, Van Kozak puts in two points. Not to be stopped, the Vikings make their push to the finish as the lead the Wolves 85-69 with 4:50 seconds left of play. After being unable to reel them in, the GPRC Wolves fall to the Augustana Vikings 71-99.
