Clippers come from way behind to win over Rattlers

The Briercrest Clippers headed into Medicine Hat to take on the Rattlers in a game with playoff implications for the home side. This was evident right out the gate with both teams battling hard and drawing early fouls. They were close for the first few minutes until Medicine Hat started to take over, winning the turnover battle. With this Medicine Hat was able to take a lead going into the break up 22-13.

The second quarter started like the first with both teams battling. Neither team was able to gain a firm grasp on the momentum as they continued to battle. Both teams were committing a high number of fouls and many starters found themselves on the bench in a bit of trouble. With both teams streaking and cooling at different times the differential did not move much, the Rattlers continued to hold a lead 43-30.

The Third quarter started with the Clippers playing better on the offensive end. Helped by a 7-2 foul count in the quarter the Clippers started to chip away slowly at the Rattler lead throughout the quarter. Medicine Hat was able to stay ahead but the damage had been done with the clippers only trailing by 2, 51-49

The fourth quarter started with the Rattlers going on a 6-0 run. From here the home side went cold. This opened the door for Briercrest who took full advantage. Again chipping away, the Clippers were able to tie the game with 3:44 on the clock. Every time the Rattlers seemed to gain any momentum a whistle would change the game once again. From here the Clippers were able to pull ahead, hitting a few deep 3's. Medicine Hat could not convert down the stretch and the Clippers were able to come From Behind and win the game 74-71 with Medicine Hat just missing a last second 3.

The ACAC Players of the Game were Fred Kabore from MHC and Jerome Adjei for Briercrest.
