The final home game of the 2021-22 ACAC Regular Season provided another victory for the Keyano Huskies Men's Basketball team in a 102-85 triumph over the visiting Concordia Thunder.
Omeechi Williams led all players with 25 points while Sean Michael-Clancey had 22 to his credit. Mazin Tiea, Ringo Dau, and Shaqulli Bedminster scored 13, 12, and 11 points, respectively.
Holding a 13-point lead after the first quarter, the Huskies saw their lead drop to eight at the half. The Huskies would answer back in the third quarter to extend the lead to 17 before going shot for shot with them in the final frame.
Overall, the Huskies shot 53.4 per cent (39-for-73) from the field, including 13 three-point shots. They also made good on 11 of 16 opportunities for free throws.
Arjun Dhaliwal led the offence for his side with 23 points while Carsten Ritter added 16 and Milton Lendein contributed 10. Nicholas Gibb and Alex MacLean were right on the cusp of double digits with nine points each.
The Thunder shot 41.3 per cent from the field, including seven three pointers. They made good on 26 of a possible 29 free throws throughout the contest as well.
Friday's win moved the Huskies to 14-0 on the season, including a per ect 8-0 home record.
