Men's Basketball Huskies top Eagles at home

The Keyano Huskies Men's Basketball hit the century mark for the third-straight game Sunday afternoon, topping the visiting King's University Eagles 106-67 at the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray, Alta. 

The win moved the Huskies record to an Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC)-best 13-0. 

Sean Michael-Clancey led the Huskies once again with 35 points and 13 rebounds while Jack Redden also contributed a double-double of his own with 17 points and 13 rebounds. 

Leading 21-11 through the first quarter, the Huskies extended their lead to 15 at the half. A 34-point third quarter blew the game open in favour of the home side before they added 32 points in the final quarter to win by a 39-point margin. 

Ringo Dau dropped 15 points and Jacob Simmons added 11 to round out a quartet of Huskies in double digits for the game. 

Joshua Hamilton led the Eagles with 15 points while fellow starter Nic Gregersen was close behind with 14 points. Cameron Gates had 10 points to lead all players coming off the bench. 

The Huskies shot 50 per cent (41-for-82) from the field, making seven of 26 attempted three-point shots (26.9 per cent.) On 20 trips to the foul line, the Huskies sank 17 of those shots. 

On the Eagles' side, they shot 35.6 from the field (26-for-73), making three of 22 attempted three pointers. Their 13 free throw attempts resulted in 12 good baskets for a solid day at the foul line.
