GPRC Wolves Hosts NAIT Ooks on Friday Night

The Wolves hosted the NAIT Ooks for a Friday night game before heading to NAIT on Sunday.

With the Wolves winning the tip off of the Men's Basketball game, Manny Iloka was the first to put the points on the board. With both teams playing strong, the NAIT Ooks took an early lead to end the first quarter 16-10.

Entering the 2^nd quarter with an aim to play was Shak Nasim scoring two for the Wolves. Liam Davison followed suit by also posting two. The NAIT Ooks not to be outdone continue to stay ahead on the scoreboard. Chris Linwanag draws a foul and goes 1 for 2. Following the free throws, GPRC's Kwame Okyere puts in another 2 as the Wolves continue to track down the leading score of the NAIT Ooks. The score at the end of the 2^nd 32-28 for the NAIT Ooks.

Coming out in the 3^rd quarter its Chris Linwanag to tie up the game 3 minutes into the quarter. Van Kozak goes 1 for 2 at the free throw line. Not to be left behind NAIT ties up the game again 40-40. Ending the 3^rd quarter, the GPRC Wolves lead 44-42.

As the final quarter gets underway the GPRC Wolves extend their newfound lead 54-46. Using the momentum found in the 4^th quarter the GPRC Wolves continue to put points on the board bringing the score to 62-52.  Abdul Al-Timimi sinks 1 for 2 on a free throw to bring the score to 68-58. Having another chance at the line Abdul goes 2 for 2. Finishing strong the GPRC Wolves take the game against NAIT Ooks 72-58 .

Player of the Game for the NAIT Ooks was #3 Will Pittman and for the GPRC Wolves #13 Abdul Al-Timimi.
