EDMONTON, AB (January 28. 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder welcomed The King's University Eagles as they kicked off the beginning of the winter regular season games. After a nail biter of a first quarter, the Thunder took over and never looked back as they took the game 95-84.
The Thunder started the night going back to back with the Eagles and ultimately edged out the fight taking the first quarter 19-17. Keeping that momentum into the second quarter, Thunder dominated and finished the first half of the game 49-34. The King's Eagles may have outscored the Thunder, 25-20, but your Thunder held the lead 69-59.Ending on a high intensity note, your Concordia Thunder fought hard to win the game 95-84.
The One Team Sports Players of the game were #12 Joshua Hamilton for the King's Eagles and #7 Arjun Dhaliwal for the Concordia Thunder.
The match up continues as the Thunder head to King's to finish this weekend's fight for the win. They return next weekend to take on the Augustana Vikings on February 4th.
