Getting back on the court for the first time in 2022, the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers, earner their first win of the season and their first win of the new year defeating the visiting Ambrose University Lions 86-71.  The Rattlers game out of the get quickly and built a 27-16 lead after the first quarter.  After an Ambrose push, the Rattlers responded and led 43-25 at the half.  Ambrose tried to make a push in the thrid quarter outscoring the Rattlers 26-19 even getting the lead down to just three.  The young Rattlers held firm and outscored Ambrose 24-20 in the fourth quarter to preserve the win.  The Rattlers were led by Kieron Burgess who had 21 points and 14 rebounds.  Ambrose got 16 points and 3 rebounds from Linden Jackson.  The players of the game were #21 Brayden Daniel from the Lions and first year Rattler Zach Olson.  The two teams meet again tomorrow in Calgary.
