The Ambrose Lions got two wins on Saturday, January 28th against the Briercrest Clippers. The girls won 69-59 in a hard fought battle. Jessica "Quick Trigger" Grigor, was the player of the game hitting two 3's and getting 11 points. She effectively got to the free throw line and putting pressure on the Briercrest defence.
In the guy's game, Ambrose controlled the game from start to finish. The defence of the Lions was too much for the Clippers and player of the game Blake Seebach was a big part of that. He finished the game with 12 points and 9 rebounds, shooting an efficient 6-10 from the field. The Lions will look to build on their current 4 game win streak as they make a push for a playoff berth. Great wins today for the lions.
