2024-2025 ACAC Men's Hockey Player of The Year

Edmonton, AB (March 16, 2025) –

Men's Hockey Player of the Year | TYLER BLOCHA | NAIT Ooks:

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Tyler Blocha of the NAIT Ooks has been selected as the 2024-2025 ACAC Men's Hockey Player of the Year.

Tyler Blocha has had a dominant season with the NAIT Ooks. The first-year forward from Bonnyville, Alberta, wasted no time making an impact, leading his team with an impressive 33 points in 24 regular-season games.

Blocha showcased his offensive firepower with 14 goals and 19 assists, proving to be a constant threat in the attacking zone. His ability to rise to the occasion was evident throughout the season, highlighted by six power-play goals and a hat-trick performance.

NAIT head coach Scott Fellnermayr had high praise for Blocha's all-around game and leadership, stating: "Tyler is an unbelievable student-athlete that excels in the classroom, on the ice, and in the weight room every day. Blocha has obvious skills offensively, which gives him the ability to take over a game at any moment, but he competes just as hard away from the puck, which makes him a dream to coach. Tyler is a great leader and teammate and very well deserving of the Player of the Year award."

With his outstanding first season, Blocha has firmly established himself as one of the top players in the ACAC. His offensive talent, work ethic, and leadership make him a key piece of the Ooks' success, and he will undoubtedly continue to be a dominant force in the seasons ahead.

This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2025 ACAC Men's Hockey Championship hosted by Briercrest in Caronport, Sask.
