2021-22 ACAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Year
Edmonton, AB (March 23, 2022) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Jordan Papirny of the NAIT Ooks has been selected as the 2021-22 ACAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Year.
Jordan Papirny has played solid for the NAIT Ooks this season. The top-notch goaltender has played 661 minutes this season. This season he's only let up 18 goals with a 1.63 goals-against average. He's managed to save 328 shots giving him a save percentage of .948 this season.
Head Coach Scott Fellnermayr says, "since coming to NAIT in 2019, Jordan has been the epitome of what it means to be a NAIT Ook. He is always asking how he can contribute to the program rather than asking what the program can do for him. Jordan is a true professional when it comes to his craft; he is constantly working on his puck handling in practice whenever he has some free time on the ice, and he watches all of his games over to fine-tune his positioning."
Jordan Papirny, the fourth-year Architecture Technology student from Edmonton, AB, has been a top athlete for most of his life. He has won at all levels, including the WHL title with the Brandon Wheat Kings in 2016, where he was the starting goaltender.
This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2022 ACAC Men’s Hockey Championship hosted by NAIT in Edmonton, AB.
