ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Japhet Kipkosgei made a splash in his cross country running season debut. The second-year University Arts student finished first among ACAC male competitors at Running Room Grand Prix #1. Kipkosgei, a talented runner from Kenya, completed the 8 km course in 27:52. This impressive result helped the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Cross Country Running team rank first in Edmonton with 23 points.
Kipkosgei has been a valuable member of the RDP Kings Cross Country Running team. His hard work, commitment and desire to improve will serve him well throughout the year.
GAME ON: A GLIMPSE AHEAD
Kipkosgei and the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings will look to continue this momentum into Running Room Grand Prix #2. The Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks will host the event on Saturday, September 20.
