ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
David Baum played a pivotal role in the SAIT Trojans' silver-medal finish at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA)/Curling Canada College Championships in Lethbridge.
Baum and the Trojans posted a strong 5-2 record in round-robin play, securing second place in their division. In the men’s semi-finals, they edged out the RDP Kings 4-3 to advance to the championship game. There, they faced the Mohawk Mountaineers, falling in a hard-fought 8-4 battle.
As the Trojans' skip, Baum delivered exceptional performances throughout the tournament, executing several high-difficulty shots. The second-year student-athlete was recognized for his efforts, earning a spot on the CCAA Men’s Curling Second Team All-Star list.
