ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

David Baum, the skip for the SAIT Trojans Men's Curling team, has been a standout athlete throughout the 2024-2025 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) season. His exceptional leadership earned him the ACAC Male Curler of the Year award.

In the 2025 ACAC Curling Winter Regionals, held from January 19 to 21, 2025, at the Thistle Curling Club in Edmonton, Baum's performance was instrumental in propelling the Trojans to a perfect 4-0 record. This success contributed to the team's impressive 7-1 record over the two regionals, securing their position as the top seed entering the ACAC Curling Championships. At ACAC Championships David continued this leadership, as the Trojans ranked second going into the finals after a first round loss to RDP. They then went on to defeat the Kings and secured their Gold Medal at ACAC Championships and took home the banner.

GAME ON: A GLIMPSE AHEAD
The SAIT Trojans Men's Curling team and David Baum set their sights on CCAA Nationals held in Lethbridge, AB this year as they look to improve upon their bronze medal performance from last year.
