Omar Farah, NAIT Ooks, Men's Basketball

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Omar Farah had an outstanding weekend for the NAIT Ooks men's basketball team, earning Athlete of the Week honors.
On Friday night, Farah delivered a jaw-dropping performance, scoring 40 points on 17/20 shooting from the field and 5/8 from beyond the arc in a commanding 91-66 victory over Olds College (S7, 3-6). His performance earned him player of the game recognition. He followed up with another strong outing on Saturday, adding 14 points in a convincing win against the Red Deer Kings (S3, 5-4), bringing his weekend total to 53 points.
Head coach Adika Peter-McNeilly praised Farah’s impact, stating, “Omar has been a crucial spark plug for us off the bench this season. His ability to shoot from anywhere on the court was evident on Friday night, and he electrified the fans. Currently, Omar is averaging 12.2 ppg and 39.1% from 3PT. We expect big things for Omar in the future and can’t wait until second-semester play.”
The first-year Business Administration student from Edmonton, Alberta, has a bright future with the Ooks.
