ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ella Gifford has once again made history as the 2024 ACAC Women’s Golfer of the Year, earning the prestigious title for the third consecutive year.

Her performance this season has been nothing short of extraordinary, capped by a dominant showing at the ACAC Championships. After placing second on Day 1 with a score of 83, Ella surged to first place on Day 2, shooting 77. She closed out the tournament with a 79 on Day 3, securing the Women’s Individual title.

Ella's journey this season was marked by perseverance through challenging conditions, including a third-place finish in the North Regional and a second-place finish in the South Regional. Her ability to consistently rise to the occasion and her unmatched work ethic have set her apart, making her the first golfer in ACAC history—male or female—to win Golfer of the Year three times.

Ella is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science program at Concordia University of Edmonton.

Gifford will now head to Toronto to compete for the ultimate title at the 2024 CCAA National Golf Championships hosted by Humber College, starting on October 14th.
