The Augustana Men's basketball team is facing off against the Lakeland Men's team. 

 

Something must've been in the air tonight because both teams started the game off strong. With back to back baskets and phenomenal plays demonstrated from both teams. With one minute left in the quarter and the rattlers up by 2, Head coach Thomas called a timeout to give his team a pep talk. The pep talk worked because the Rattlers were up after the first quarter with a score of 30-29. 

 

Vikings came out strong into the second with #15 Spencer Marion scoring a reverse layup within the first few moments. With the scores so close together the players tightened their shoes and worked the ball around looking for any way to add points to the board. A pivotal moment that got the fans off their seats and in the air cheering was when #11 Nicholas Harder tied the score up making the Rattlers coach called a timeout. The half-time score was 52-47 for the Vikings. 

 

The third quarter was the turning point for the Vikings with great play after a great play. The fans cheered with each basket. The score for the 3rd was 82 - 72. 

 

The final quarter was the best for both teams. Although the Rattlers were down by quite a few, they did not lose hope. The fans were on the edge of their seat being great sports for both teams as they got some good dunks in. The final score was 110 - 92 for Vikings.
