Ooks Soar to Victory over Wolves

Friday evening, the NAIT Ooks competed against the GPRC Wolves in the NAIT Gymnasium. The NAIT Ooks won the game 89-45.

Both teams played competitively in the first quarter of the game. The Ooks slowly gained a lead that the Wolves were able to take away. The Ooks were able to finish the quarter with a seven-point lead due to their interceptions. Ooks led 24-17 at the end of the quarter.

In the second quarter, the Ooks extended their lead to double digits. The Ooks offense ball movement created a lot of scoring opportunities. The Wolves press break successfully worked as they could get across half and not have many turnovers. Ooks led 44-25 at the end of the half.

After the halftime break, both teams played well in the third quarter. The Ooks continued to hold the lead 65-38. The Ooks' aggressive defense tired out the Wolves and put pressure on their ball-handlers. The Wolves worked hard to come back to win the game.

In the fourth quarter, the Ooks ball movement continued to create scoring opportunities for all players. The Wolves defense moved quickly to keep up to the ball by closing out. The Ooks won the game 89-45.
