GPRC hosts Lakeland for game #2

The GPRC Wolves Men's Basketball welcomed the Lakeland Rustlers team back for the second edition of the double-header weekend.

 

After winning the tipoff, the Wolves put in the work to create an early score divide 3 minutes into the game for a score of 9-2. With 1 minutes 20 seconds left in the first the score stood as 15-14 as the Lakeland Rustlers play to reel in the Wolves. At the end of the first quarter its GPRC out ahead 17-14.

Coming back into the 2nd quarter, its Shak Nasim for the GPRC Wolves sinking 2/2 at the line. Following up the play, Christian Linwanag sinks a three. Being awarded with a pair of free throws, the Lakeland Rustlers sink both to bring the score to 22-20 for the Wolves. With much action in the 2nd quarter the Rustlers push hard to catch up to the leading Wolves as the end of the half looms with a score of 36-31. Ending the half with the Wolves leading 39-35.

Coming back from halftime is Abdul Al-Timimi for the GPRC Wolves with a 2-point shot. Responding to the play, Lakeland Rustlers put on a 2-point of their own. Not letting up, GPRC drives the score up to 50 points with the Rustler at 39.

After a short break, the last quarter began with the Rustlers ball and the score at 63-54 for the Wolves.  

As regulation time runs out the GPRC Wolves come out ahead of the Lakeland Rustlers for the win with a score of 91-77.

 

Player of the Game for the Lakeland Rustlers was #4 Rashon Russell and for the GPRC Wolves #20 Manny Iloka.
